What should a quote contain?
A clear quote avoids misunderstandings and is the basis for the invoice. Include at least:
- your details and your company number (CBE in Belgium, SIRET in France) and, if you are VAT-registered, your VAT number;
- the customer’s details, the date of the quote and how long it is valid;
- the details of the services or products: quantity, unit price excluding VAT, VAT rate;
- the total excluding VAT, the VAT amount for each rate and the total including VAT;
- the terms (deposit, lead time, payment) and an “approved” line with the customer’s signature.
If you are under the small business VAT exemption, tick the box: the tool adds no VAT and writes the required legal mention (in French, as on Belgian and French documents).
Some trades have extra rules (for example work in a home, or the reduced VAT rate for renovation). Check them with your accountant. This tool makes quotes, not invoices: in Belgium, invoices between businesses must be sent as e-invoices (Peppol) since 2026.

Is the quote compliant?
It contains the usual information: details, company number, date and validity, line details, VAT per rate, totals and approval. Some trades need extra mentions: check them with your accountant.
How is VAT calculated?
Each line is rounded to the cent, then VAT is calculated per rate on the total excluding VAT for that rate, and rounded to the cent.
Can I make an invoice with this tool?
No, it’s a quote tool. In Belgium, invoices between businesses must be sent as e-invoices (Peppol) since 1 January 2026: use invoicing software.
Is my data sent over the internet?
No. The document is created in your browser. Your settings (details, logo) are only kept on your device, for next time.
How do I get a PDF?
Click the print button, then choose “Save as PDF” as the printer. It works on computers and phones.
Is there an ad on the document?
No. The document you give your customer carries no ad and no mention of this website.
